BCN Services to offer Large business plans to small business under Blue Cross Blue Shield umbrella
ANN ARBOR, MICH. — Professional employer organization BCN Services is expanding its partnership with Blue Cross® Blue Shield® of Michigan and Blue Care Network to offer small businesses access to the health provider’s large group offerings. The move will allow BCN Services’ clients and other small- to medium-sized businesses to enroll their employees in a large-pool health platform, greatly simplifying administration, billing, and rate structure.
The insurance programs will be sold through professional insurance agents, a practice that BCN Services has had since signing its first PEO customer in 1992.
“Working with top-tier Agencies and their customers is a win-win scenario,” said Andrew C. Hans, President and CEO of BCN Services, Inc., the Ann Arbor-based professional employer organization. “We know agents, and they know BCN Services. With this unique Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Care Network platform, we offer everything the big national PEOs offer in addition to personal service from names you know and trust.”.
BCN Services roots in insurance date back to 1928, and this background made it natural for BCN to partner with trusted insurance advisor partners to successfully deliver value-added HRO and PEO services to their clients. Today, BCN operates in 47 states with clients ranging from two employees to those with more than 1,000.
“We are pleased to be able to give our clients and partners access to this platform of high quality, traditional 3-tier health insurance choices that will make now-complicated health care plans easier,” Hans added.
For 25 years, the BCN Services PEO model has consistently delivered to business owners the ability to streamline operations and allow them to leverage their PEO partnership to additional success and growth.”
In addition to their suite of large group benefits, BCN Services offers their clients a full portfolio of human resource management services including help with recruiting, hiring, payroll services, unemployment management, risk management, workplace safety and workers’ compensation, and regulations and assistance with developing employment policies. They also track and advise on legislative trends and human resources issues that affect the business community.
The contract allows the Ann Arbor-based BCN to begin enrolling the new BCBS of Michigan products on June 1, 2017. BCN Services will accept applications for new PEO contracts beginning March, 2017.
